Raphaël Vanderhaëgen creates colorful art that brings together pop art, street art, and graffiti. His work is recognizable for its iconic characters, bold colors, striking text, and luxurious finish.

Each artwork is made and finished by hand. Raphaël combines paint, spray paint, gold leaf, glitter, real dollar bills, and vintage comic strips with his own techniques, including the distinctive Golden Rain textures.

There are no fixed rules or standard methods. He continues to experiment with new materials and ideas.

Familiar characters from his childhood play an important role in his work. They represent freedom, humor, imagination, and nostalgia.

Through his art, Raphaël wants to show that growing up does not mean losing the child within you.

HIS OWN WAY

Born on August 6, 1991, in Belgium, Raphaël has lived in the Netherlands his entire life. Growing up as the eldest in his family, the experiences and influences of his early life became an important part of his artistic identity.

Rather than allowing his past to define him, he transformed it into creative energy. His setbacks became perspective, and his passion became direction.

Raphaël is entirely self-taught. Without any formal art education, he developed his own distinctive style through experimentation, perseverance, and his passion for drawing.

His creativity extends beyond paintings. Sculptures, sneakers, clothing, and unique objects also receive his recognizable signature style.

Raphaël enjoys the entire creative journey from developing new artworks, stories, and concepts to creating content and videos.

The personal connections he builds with collectors, the sale of his work, and collaborations with various galleries also make being an artist especially meaningful to him.
